# SolvBTC Governance

SolvBTC governance is operated by a committee of institutional partners and secured through modern cryptographic controls. The system is designed to scale over time by expanding committee membership, strengthening decentralization, fault tolerance, and operational efficiency.

In parallel, SolvBTC is upgrading its custody and governance stack through a phased migration toward a FROST-enabled custody and signing architecture, with the goal of minimizing migration risk and avoiding disruptive transfers.

The governance framework consists of the following components:

**Governance Structure**\
Describes the committee composition, key distribution and approval thresholds, and continuity mechanisms that secure SolvBTC.

**Roadmap**\
Explains the phased transition from the current SolvBTC custody model to the upgraded governance and custody architecture.
